Kallis is a sculptural illuminant created by the beauty of marble where central light source accentuates natural marble grains and diffuses light for a very personal space despite its large scale. Inspired by the one and only breathtaking symbol of growth, burj Khalifa. Both burj Khalifa and Kallis are inspired by hymenocallis flower found in the region. The name Kallis comes from the Greek word “Callis” which means beautiful. The letter K is to refer it to Khalifa. Each sectional plan of the burj was taken and extruded to a golden section ration 1.618 upwards and downwards. A touch of excitement is added as well through the 60 degrees rotation of each section resulting in a stunning lighting effect. The purpose of the design is to demonstrate the infinite dimension of Growing Beauty.
